Yes. OpenClone is open-source and free to use. You only pay for your own AI key (to OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and, if you choose the advanced option, for a server you rent. We charge nothing.
Where are my memories stored? βΌ
On your own devices. Your data never leaves your computer and phone. We never access, analyze, or sell it.
Do I need a server running all the time? βΌ
No. On your computer and phone, OpenClone works on its own. A server is only needed if you want to reach your memory from anywhere β and that is the optional advanced setup.
What is "bring your own key"? βΌ
You provide your own AI key (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Gemini). The app talks to the AI provider directly. We never store or proxy your key.
